Tardis Groups Privacy Policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information. The reason we collect your personal information is to help with your job search and we understand that the data you provide is important so it’s our responsibility to ensure it stays safe. Our privacy policy is to outline how we manage and use your information. 



We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs governs the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.



1. Collecting personal information 


As an executive search firm, we collect information necessary to qualify candidates to relevant job opportunities. 


This information can include CV’s, name, identification documents, telephone number, email address, educational records, work history, references and may include, without limitation, age, nationality, ethnicity, gender and compensation history. We only collect personal data from you, and further process this data, where you have given your consent. 


The above information may be collected through discussions with you and from information you have shared with us e.g. emailing your CV. We may also gather information through publicly available sources, such as (but not limited to) LinkedIn, Company Websites, by reference or word of mouth, or by entering information on our website.


All personal data is processed lawfully, stored in a secure environment, in our database, kept accurate and up to date, collected and stored for explicit and legitimate business purposes and limited to what is necessary. 


2. Use and Disclosure of Personal Information


We collect information necessary to identify available and relevant opportunities and any additional information needed to assess your eligibility through the different stages of the recruitment process. 


We communicate your personal data to our third-party suppliers, such as clients who wish to hire for a position that may be relevant to you. We may also use this information to inform you of suitable opportunities and key trends in the marketplace that can increase your awareness about your industry. We will not use or disclose your personal information for other purposes without first seeking your consent, unless authorised or required by law. 


We will only share information in accordance with this privacy policy.

3. Sharing of Personal Information 


While your personal information will be kept confidential, in certain circumstances, it may be necessary for us to provide or disclose your personal information if required. If this situation were to arise, we would only disclose information that is necessary for the purpose of such disclosure.


We communicate your personal data to clients who wish to hire for a position that may be relevant to you. We may also use this information to inform you of suitable opportunities and key trends in the marketplace that can increase your awareness about your industry.

4. Sensitive Information


Accordingly, to the Australian Government, sensitive information is personal information that includes information or an opinion about an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions or associations, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or associations, sexual orientation or practices, criminal record, health or genetic information or some aspects of biometric information.


Generally, sensitive information has a higher level of privacy protection than other personal information.


5. Security


Tardis Group is not responsible for the security of the information you send to or receive from us over the internet as the internet is not always a safe and secure place. We are however, responsible for ensuring your personal information is secure within our systems and methods of sending and receiving your personal data to third-party suppliers (such as clients) as mentioned above. 


6. Storing your personal data


We will not retain your data for an unreasonable amount of time. For legitimate business purposes, we retain data in line with our business needs. 


We will continually review data and keep in contact with you from time to time, to ensure accurate and up to date information is retained. You can at any point request to update your data as well as request deletion of your data, which will be actioned within 30 days. Should you wish to delete your data, please email info@tardis-group.com with a written request.


7. Your rights with your data


By law, you have rights when it comes to protecting your personal data. Further information and advice about your rights can be obtained from the data protection regulator in your country. 


  • You have the right to be provided with transparent, coherent information about how we use your data and your rights in relation to the use of your data. 


  • You have the right to object to certain types of processing, i.e. you may notify us if you no longer wish to be contacted about an opportunity. 


  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection regulator about the way we handle your data. 


  • If you have given your consent to anything we do with your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. 


  • You also have the right to have your information corrected if inaccurate or incomplete, to obtain access of your information and request the deletion or removal of your information.
